These are letters that are partially made of pictures representing merchants such as those who sell vegetables, those who sell ceramic products, and those who sell sweets. The book consists of 32 pages of drawings, by arranging these letters with pictures of different merchants, allowing the viewer to come to know the modes of life shared amongst merchants and craftsmen during the Edo period.
