This work depicts a woman lighting up an andon (paper-shaded lamp) and the townscape of Senju. Senju-shuku post town is two "ri" (one "ri" is approximately four kilometers) from Nihonbashi and flourished as the starting point of the Ōshū and Nikkō Highways.
