Sekiya Tenmangū is enshrined within the precincts of the Hikawa Shrine located in Senju-Nakachō, Adachi Ward. It was a place of scenic beauty, so much so that it was taken up in a short Japanese poem (tanka). The surrounding reeds were "kataha" (leaves appear only in one side) and so it was also called "Kataha-no-Tenjin".
